There has never been a greater need than now to understand trauma, and develop compassionate protocols to support the healing of trauma. Fortunately the universe continues to provide ways: a collaboration between Dr. Wang and Niko, a gifted healing artist, the only child of the legendary Italian singer-songwriter Toto Cutugno, bonded by the "universe's unknown forces", and a deep, instinctive love for the healing power of water, the oceans, the sea (“il mare” in Italian) — the project was born.
This initiative not only supports trauma-informed research and development of integrative natural healing methodologies, but also implements actionable, community-based programs to bring them directly to those in need. The study shows that restoring a person's connection to one's authentic self is an effective and meaningful approach. In response, a methodology was created to guide and support those who wish to travel this path together.
Also in loving tribute to the enduring legacy of Toto Cutugno (whose life was taken by prostate cancer) and in celebration of his music that continues to unite us, this initiative was guided by Toto's spirit of connection: using the healing arts, just as Toto used his melody, to bring people together across cultures, borders, and generations. In Toto’s endless references to il mare (the sea) in his songs, love, dreams, and peace became waves that bound people, borderless, and timeless in its embrace. In many traditional cultures, water (one of the sacred elements of nature) is revered for its profound healing power: it symbolized not only calm yet powerful, yielding yet persistent, nourishing and forgiving, but also the power to connect distant cultures and practices into one unified stream of purpose.
This philanthropic effort is intended to inspire and unite experienced trauma-informed practitioners in a collaborative effort to support vulnerable and underserved populations with accessible, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive wellness guidance and education, through workshops, personalized consultations, joint methodology development, and community outreach. These natural modalities include, but are not limited to, the integrated use of acupressure, acupuncture, breathwork, nutrition, somatic movement (such as Tai Chi, yoga, and Qigong), forest bathing, cranial-sacral therapy, herbal medicine, chiropractic and osteopathic care, ayurvedic medicine, naturopathy, body work, hypnotherapy, aroma therapy and meditation. The program is designed to support individuals facing some of life’s most pressing challenges, including trauma recovery, addiction, injury rehabilitation, suicide prevention, dietary issues due to food insecurity and more.
By blending time-honored wisdom with contemporary application, the initiative empowers individuals and communities to access holistic tools for healing, resilience, and lasting well-being. By promoting preventive care and empowering individuals to take an active role in their health, it aims to reduce barriers to wellness and complement existing healthcare efforts, and is rooted in the belief that holistic well-being and access to natural healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
Interested trauma-informed practitioners are encouraged to collaborate, develop joint methodologies through their robust private practices, and offer their gifts to people worldwide, channeling the spirit of water- gentle, powerful and endlessly giving. Practitioners, organizations or individuals who are interested are kindly invited to please text 2067929898.

"Niko possesses a beautiful voice and a heart of gold. Of all that life had offered him, he chose one of service, a path devoted to others, to compassion, to healing.
He unveils his inner world like a vast ocean, offering generously as a gift to us all. In these boundless waters of truth and emotion, we drift and dive; we love and rage; we weep and forgive. Through the rhythm of these waves, we come to recognize ourselves, as drops of the same ocean: never separate, never alone.
Niko embodies resilience, vision, leadership, warmth, love, compassion, inspiration, and above all, COURAGE: courage to seek, courage to seek truth, courage to honor his own traditions with reverence, yet reaches beyond boundaries with an open heart to others'.
Through knowing him, I often think: If the world could connect the way we do, seeking what unites us instead of what divides us, there would be no wars.
(Nurtured by water) Like every beautiful tree in the forest, he is finding his own path upward, twisting and turning, yet always reaching for the sun. Knowing him, I know he deeply honors each of us, the artist in the making of our own health, of our own lives.
For the art of healing, and giving, in its purest form, is the highest form of performing art, he is an artist in the truest sense. With gratitude, admiration and love, connected to him from this part of the Il Mare/ocean/water, please welcome my favorite artist, Niko Cutugno Lancia."

"I was so energized after the treatment late afternoon, I felt my day could start all over again."
"Even though I was afraid of deep breathing exercise during the treatment, I kept thinking about what Niko told me afterwards, I went on a walk outside... decided to try the technique in my own terms. I started breathing deeper and deeper, until I was completely in tears..."
"I was so happy all day long after the treatment... I felt so much lighter."
"I realized I had always needed this type of rest, but never knew it could feel like this"
"I went so deep during my session... after a 45 minutes session f felt like I had 5 hours of sleep."
"I want to keep adding breathing and pressure points I learned into my routine."
"I have not felt so happy for a long time (after a trauma protocol treatment)!"
"I have not felt so happy for a long time (after a trauma protocol treatment)!"
"It has been 2 weeks since the treatment, my asthma has not returned. My rest has been deeper."
"At first, I had difficulty breathing at the beginning of the treatment, then I was able to go to a very relaxed state that I rarely reached since the traumatic event happened to me over a year ago!"
"The treatment of joint sessions gave me several times deeper release of tension and anxiety."
"Even though I felt chose not to go all the way following the instruction during treatment due to my physical condition, I realized the care I received was very genuine and well prepared, I would definitely try again."
"After I had the treatment, I had my first menstrual cycle in 10 years when I did not experience pain."
"My hands and feet had a temporary tingling sensation during the treatment (I learned it is common during breathwork sessions), then I fell deep a sleep. Ever since that treatment, I used this skill to help myself fall a sleep, then my insomnia dissolved."
"I had asthma, when I did work out, I always ran out of breath quickly. Now I can breathe deeper during my workout so working out is no longer a chore, it is more enjoyable."
"I came home after the acupuncture and breathing joint session treatment and told my husband how helpful it was, with joy, but greeted without understanding nor enthusiasm.. I told him:'You have to try it to understand how wonderful it is! "
"I had done so many breathing exercises, but never knew out-breath could utilize some techniques. I learned how to breathe out which makes more profound relaxation."
"I had a very experience this time during the joint treatment: my mind took me to a beautiful meadow where I had a peaceful encounter with my mother who died 20 years ago. I was crying and felt complete."
"I now know how to manage my panic attack right at the moment when it happens."
"Thank you for coaching me. I want to let you know that I am continuing (the practice) on my own, I am reminding myself. It is calming. It helps me get into a state of calmness, and reduces my stress. I know it is good for me, so I will continue. But I do miss the bells (singing bowls), the incense/aroma, and your (Italian) accent.."
"I haven't had an asthmatic attack since then, sleeping has improved, everything is good..."
"Thank you for introducing me to breathing
and resources where I can learn more.
I appreciate this practice, I am doing it
every day."
